Was this reply helpful? Yes No. Sorry this didn't help. No joy I am afraid. Tried the quick repair, no errors found and still the same. Also, the file is Microsoft Office and not Word as you said. I should have mentioned, I had already tried OffCAT and no errors relating to this issue were thrown up. I do remember I changed a registry key earlier in the year or last year and that fixed it.

For additional file previewers, try the latest version of Outlook. Open the message or view it in the reading pane. The attachment is displayed in the preview window.
